Matthias' big dream as a young runner? To beat Sprinter Usain Bolt at the Olympics. Unfortunately it soon turns out that his ambition Bolt might be ahead ... but his legs are not. So he focuses on a new goal: guiding athletes to the Olympics. He enthusiastically throws himself into his studies Movement Sciences at the VUB. Result: three masters - in Fitness and Health, in Training and Coaching and as a Physical Education teacher.

In addition, he regularly trains as a personal sports coach. For example, he is apprenticed to Antonio Tessitore, former trainer of AS Roma, for a training course in fitness.

Matthias has been working as a coach in the world of top sports for ten years. He is part of the cradle of the success of taekwondoka's Jaouad Achab (world champion in 2015 in category -63 kg) and Raheleh Asemani, both good for a fifth place at the Olympic Games in Rio in 2016.

Remotion training®

His search for the ideal training method leads Matthias to a completely new approach, which he calls Remotion Training®. The concept: improving the mobility of people who experience pain, fatigue, stress or a brake on their performance level.

When he and his wife are expecting their first child, he looks for a way to work closer to home. Almost at the same time as his son Thomas, the Motion Academy sees the light of day. From his hometown - and favourite city - Mechelen, Matthias wants to conquer the world as a personal sports coach with his Remotion training®.

His current mission? To help you move and perform better. Whether you dream like him of becoming an Olympic champion, or just want to be healthier and more energetic in life.
